
We hardly see vegetable buns in dim sum restaurants in Malaysia. Or the local version contains mushrooms and turnip, but no greens.
Many years ago, a friend introduced me to vegetable buns in an old dim sum restaurant in Shanghai. I really loved it, which led me to a hunt for vegetable buns in Kuala Lumpur.
Today, authentic vegetable buns can be found in two restaurants: i-Dragon (picture above) and Ding Tai Fung (picture below).
I enjoy vegetable buns at both restaurants, but prefer the Ding Tai Fung ones!
